the 7th hour

We were determined to make it back home in one day on our return trip from Kentucky because we didn’t want to mess with unpacking all of our stuff for one night.  The kids did remarkably well considering.  But, it is difficult to entertain a boy who’s not yet one – I kept handing him toys, which he would hurl one by one back down to the floor.  I tried snacks, but you can only feed him so much before you feel a little guilty about overfeeding him.  I tried pacis, which he would hurl one by one back down to the floor.  In the 7th hour, we found relief from crying with a game of peek-a-boo…but it was short-lived.
