I’m a mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, minister, life-long learner, do-it-yourselfer, obssessive-compulsive organizer, gamecock fan, child of God, follower of Christ, vehicle of the Holy Spirit.

The blog title has nothing to do with the content of my blog, but about how I feel about my life right now.  I feel so incredibly blessed…it just doesn’t get better than this, folks.  I became a mommy to the most beautiful, happy, funny little girl on October 14, 2007.   We are expecting our second bundle of joy on July 28.  Motherhood is simply amazing – I can’t believe how quickly each day goes and how much she changes from day to day.  And it certainly has many high and low points and LOTS of laughter  – which I like to write about a lot (obviously).

I have been married to my love for over 6 years now, I am floored that I have found even more love for him by watching him be a wonderful father and seeing his passion grow for the church and becoming a doctor.  We met on a Maymester trip to Paris with Presbyterian College in 2001.  I came home and told my mom that I met the man I was going to marry.   We had lots of fun at PC, then at Columbia Theological Seminary before starting our lives here.

We moved to S’ville in August of 2006 so I could be the Director of Ministries and Education at a great church with absolutely amazing people.  There were many times last year that I wanted to quit, but now I see that this is certainly where God called our family to be for this stage in our lives.  I feel that they minister to me far more than I minister to them.  They had enough faith in me and my calling that they took a huge step and called me to be their Associate Pastor in August 2007.  I was ordained as a Minister of the Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (USA) on September 23, 2007.

And the rest is history and you can read all about it.

  1. Welcome to RGBP!
I look forward to reading you

  2. HI There,
I happened across your website today. It’s GREAT! We have a lot in common. My husband and I just came back from South Carolina. That was our vacation. We have a lot of friends in NC and SC, We live in PA, and are experiencing many of the things you blogged about. Trying to develop friendships in a new community (we moved to PA after living in NYC for six years). We’re also Presbyterian and belong to a church that has great small groups, but nearly everyone in them is twice our age!

We are recently married – September 29, 2007. A week after your piglet was born! My husband goes back to school in the fall to become an exercise physiologist . . . and I’m the “bread winner” of the family. I’m a holistic health counselor, writer and editor.

Would love to keep in touch . . . it would be nice to have an e-friend with such similar interests! My email address is

Are you from the South? I really like it down there – it’s kind of odd, in a way, I enjoy the bible-belt, knowing I’m surrounded by people who share my faith, but the fundamentalists can be quite scary!

    Have a wonderful week!!!
